Services
We are the only literacy service available to adult non-readers in Stokes and Eastern Surry Counties. We offer free, private, confidential tutoring to anyone 16 or over who would like to learn how to read.

We offer a free 12-hour training program to prepare volunteers. It is divided into 4, 3 hour sessions.
Goals
To expand during the next several years by
- continuing very high-quality instruction for tutors and students,
- establishing a central office that includes a library and classrooms,
- providing service to the justice system,
- offering work-site literacy,
- creating a family literacy partnership with the schools.
